Citrus Spiked Cerasee

Cerasee has many wonderful benefits, especially in dealing with the blood. It helps with blood pressure, blood circulation and ridding the blood of toxins. One issue most people have with Cerasee though, is the extreme bitterness of the herb. While the bitterness is what makes it one of the stronger herbs, we wanted to try with this recipe to make it go down a little easier!

6 cups of water

1/3 cup of chopped ginger

1 large orange

1 handful of Jamaican Cerasee

Rinse Jamaican Cerasee off and place in medium pot with the 6 cups of water. Place ginger in the pot. Rinse the outside of the orange and cut it in half and squeeze as much juice as you can into the pot from both halves. Then peel off the rind of the orange and place in the pot. (You can just eat the pulp!) Bring to a boil on high and then let simmer for 10 min and turn the heat off. Let sit for at least 1 hr. Strain into a container and add sweetner or drink or is. This recipe can adjusted to your tastes. Buy Jamaican Cerasee here
